It has always been our mission to make world-class music accessible to productions of all shapes and sizes. With an approach that is simpler, more transparent and that offers more customisation, our revamped license structure represents a giant leap forward for democratised music licensing.
Our licenses are for any individual or organisation looking to use our music within a media production, whether that be video, software or audio content. The application of a track within another media product is known as 'synchronisation' and that's exactly what our licenses are for - they grant you the necessary rights to synchronise the music to your productions, and they provide coverage for the distribution of the finished product (e.g online, TV broadcast, event etc).

Music Vine is a pay-per-license platform. Our innovative license system gives you full control to customise the coverage included in your licenses. Put simply, you only pay for the coverage you require.
When you purchase a license from Music Vine, you will receive a tailored License Agreement document. You can view a preview License Agreement at any time before making a purchase by clicking the 'Preview License' link - this is located within the license builder window (becoming available once the final price is displayed) and also on the 'Review Cart' page at checkout.
To provide you with absolute peace of mind and a definitive record, the License Agreement gives a clear and straightforward breakdown of the key coverage included in your license.

General Terms of License
Our licenses include a set of rules that are present in every License Agreement, irrespective of the coverage selected. These are called the 'General Terms of License' and are available for reference here.
Our six license types are each geared to distinctly different types of productions. The 'Permitted Content' terms (extracted below) provide clarity on the types of content covered by each license.
The Content is promoting, advertising or serving any other function for a brand, product or service.
The Content is of an entertaining, educational, informative or artistic nature. The Content does not in any way promote a brand, product or service for commercial gain.
The Content has been created by a Content Creator exclusively for their own online channel, social media account or website where the production budget is less than [Please refer to a preview License Agreement for the specific budget limitation or contact us] per video/episode and where the Content is of a personal, artistic, entertaining, educational or informative nature. The Content does not in any way promote a brand, product or service for commercial gain.
The Content is covering a personal occasion (including weddings, engagements, anniversaries and birthdays). With exception to promoting the Content Creator themselves, The Content does not in any way promote any other brand, product or service for commercial gain.
The Content is promoting or otherwise serving any other function for a non-profit organisation (including registered charities, churches and non-profit schools/universities).
The Content has been created by an actively enrolled student at a recognised eductaional institution, specifically for a course assignment. The Content does not in any way promote a brand, product or service for commercial gain.
