Our licenses

Making the world's finest music accessible to everyone.

It has always been our mission to make world-class music accessible to productions of all shapes and sizes. With an approach that is simpler, more transparent and that offers more customisation, our revamped license structure represents a giant leap forward for democratised music licensing.

Who our licenses are for

Our licenses are for any individual or organisation looking to use our music within a media production, whether that be video, software or audio content. The application of a track within another media product is known as 'synchronisation' and that's exactly what our licenses are for - they grant you the necessary rights to synchronise the music to your productions, and they provide coverage for the distribution of the finished product (e.g online, TV broadcast, event etc).

Via the Music Vine website, specific pre-cleared licenses are available for:

  • Promotional, advertisement and branded content.
  • Films, documentaries, shows and programming.
  • Vlog, indie-channel, podcast and personal content.
  • Weddings and life moments.
  • Non-profit organisations.
  • Student projects.

Should you have a project that sits outside the categories above, we can look to provide a custom license to cover your specific requirements. Please complete our custom license request form and a member of our team will be happy to help!

How our licenses work

Music Vine is a pay-per-license platform. Our innovative license system gives you full control to customise the coverage included in your licenses. Put simply, you only pay for the coverage you require.

When you purchase a license from Music Vine, you will receive a tailored License Agreement document. You can view a preview License Agreement at any time before making a purchase by clicking the 'Preview License' link - this is located within the license builder window (becoming available once the final price is displayed) and also on the 'Review Cart' page at checkout.

To provide you with absolute peace of mind and a definitive record, the License Agreement gives a clear and straightforward breakdown of the key coverage included in your license.

Put simply, you only pay for the coverage you require.
